BP-51 High Performance Bypass Shock Absorbers

Designed, developed and tested entirely in-house by ARB’s team of Old Man Emu ride engineers, BP-51 shock absorbers are engineered for each vehicle and utilise existing suspension mounting locations.

Providing unrivalled comfort and control over all surfaces, the revolutionary internal bypass design ensures there are no exposed fluid transfer channels on the exterior of the shock. This results in a design that suits existing suspension setups and offers greater longevity.

80_Series

Toyota Landcruiser Suspension

The Toyota 80 Series is a large passenger wagon with extremely good off road capabilities. Being the first of the coil sprung LandCruisers, the 80 Series was a revelation in its day and is now a preferred choice for the budget conscious Weekend Warrior.

During development OME engineers focussed on increasing ride height and wheel travel whilst controlling the heavy mass of the vehicle over the full range of travel.

As well as a range of springs and shocks, providing ride height increases of either 20mm or 50mm (approximately), a variety of other components were developed to provide a comprehensive solution. These include an upgraded steering damper to reduce the effect of wheel vibration and increase steering feel, a caster correction kit to maintain factory steering geometry specifications and trim packers to aid in fine tuning front and rear ride heights.
